COLOUR YOUR LIFE

In celebration of the first weekend in Spring, The G&M Society brings you the 10 most colourful towns on earth in no particular order:

Riomaggiore, Liguria, Italy
This small coastal town is nestled in the lush green cliffs of Cinqure Terre. Every corner of this town bursts with colour.



Willemstad, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles
This mid-17th century Dutch harbour town features homes that represent the colour spectrum.


La Boca, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Argentina's capital is filled with Italian immigrants and as a result its architecture, has a strong European influence.


Wroclaw, Poland
Located in south-west Poland is the charming town of Wroclaw which dates back to the 12th century.

Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway
Since this town is covered in snow, locals added colour into their life by brightly painting their homes.


Nyhavn, Copenhagen, Denmark
The colour scheme of this this 17th century waterfront town inspired Lego to build a replica of the town.


Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico

This small town was founded in 1554 and has a wealth of Spanish colonial architecture. This town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.


Lima, Peru

This town is well known for its different architectural styles: Spanish baroque, French neoclassicism and art nouveau buildings. Combined they make the town an arena of colors and art.


Bryggen, Bergen, Norway
The painted wooden buildings lining the harbour makes this town a popular tourist attraction.


Muizenberg, Cape Town
Multi-coloured changing huts on Muizenberg beach add a burst of colour to Cape Town's beautiful beaches.
