A TASTE OF YESTERYEAR

On Saturday Michelle (the other sister) and I went for lunch at Grazers in Douglasdale. We both had a delicious chicken burger and I was delighted to see that they stocked Frankies Soft Drink. I had my first taste of this beverage when I was in the Drakensburg in June. I couldn't find these drinks when I was back in Joburg and just thought that they were stocked in The Midlands (were it is made). Luckily for me they are now stocked nationwide at Pick n Pay and Dis-Chem.

I love the retro packaging and these drinks are prefect for hot summer days - Mart

HANG ME SOME TEA

How great are these tea bags? They are designed by Soon Mo Kong and are colour-coded for different varieties. Unfortunately they are not available in South Africa.

These hangers are rather cute and so are the tea-shirts - Mart

WITH A SLICE OF MOULD

How clever is this packaging for sandwiches? Could do with a few to keep those work scavengers away from my lunch time goodies - Mart

SOMETHING EXTRA

Talk about a value-added benefit. I love the concept of Woolworths’s new coffee cup holders that have a recipe printed on the inside. The best part is that the recipes are from South African master chef Justin Bonello and his Australian counterpart Bill Granger - Mart.

IT'S ALL IN THE PACKAGE

I am all about packaging. You can make a cheap gift look expensive by simply wrapping it in an eye-catching manner. Garth has a collection of paper bags, all beautifully decorated by myself - Amy would use the term "Arts and Crafts" here! Each bag contained a brownie but because the packaging was personalised, the real gift was the bag and not the brownie.

I simply love the new packaging of the Spar breakfast crunch cereal. It is now packaged in a milk carton. SIMPLY CLEVER - Mart.
